Sunsets and Senior Year

To conclude our senior year experience, we were tasked to design a book documenting the projects and events of our last year at university. We were required to have a minimum of 96 pages with an introduction, research, commentary, and process. Arizona sunsets inspired my cover and theme as the sun was setting on my senior year. Ending my chapter at ASU is bitter-sweet, but like sunsets, “endings can often be beautiful too.”

A Closer Look at the Contents

My book has a total of five chapters: Projects Amid Pandemonium, Connected Poster Show & Auction, The Fight for Women at Work, The Clock is Ticking, and Unmute Graduation Exhibition. The first chapter is an introduction to my senior year, where I reflect on my experiences with COVID and online learning. The remaining chapters review my projects where I explain my processes and the meaning behind my designs.

One Last Time

Despite being online, this past year was probably the most collaborative and required the most teamwork. As Vice President of the Graphic Design Senior Student Association, I got play an integral role in making our senior year a success. To accomplish all our event goals, we split the class into five committees: Publication, Web, Marketing, Digital Event Design, and Event Planning. I’m so incredibly thankful for this group of students for working so hard to make our final year successful. My book wouldn’t be the same without them.
